How we use your information
- To create your account and email you sign-in links.
- To show your posts, replies, and votes.
- To review applications and contact you about them.
- To email you about lists you join, such as Services or the team.
- To publish combined results, such as Seller Pulse totals.
- To keep the site safe and enforce the Community Guidelines and Terms of Use.
- To meet legal obligations.
We email you only about things you signed up for or that affect your account. You get the weekly Seller Digest only if you opt in, at sign-up or on your profile page, and you can turn it off anytime.
We don’t sell your information
We don’t sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we don’t share it with advertisers. We share it only with the companies below that run the site for us, or when the law requires it.
If TCC moves to another company
If TCC is moved to a different company we own, or is sold or merged, member information moves with it and stays under this policy. We’ll email members before that happens.
Companies that help run the site
- Supabase: stores account and site data, and handles sign-in.
- Cloudflare: hosts the site and forwards email sent to our address.
- Google: sends sign-in and team emails through Gmail. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which shares your IP address with Google.
- jsDelivr: delivers the code library the site uses for sign-in.
- Stripe: processes support payments.
Each follows its own privacy policy. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries where these companies operate.
How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open. Form answers are kept while we’re reviewing them and while the related list or program runs. We keep records of reports and moderation decisions as long as needed to keep the site safe. Deleted information can stay in backups for a short time before it’s overwritten.
Your choices
- See or fix your information: email us and we’ll send it or correct it.
- Delete your account: email us from the address you joined with. We’ll delete your account, and you choose whether we delete your posts or remove your name from them.
- Delete a post or reply: open it and choose Delete. Your words and name are replaced with a note that it was removed, and other members’ replies stay up. We keep a private copy for 30 days so moderators can review anything that was reported, then erase it.
- Leave a list: email us, or reply to any email we sent about that list.
We answer requests within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law, and we’ll honor them.
Students and children
TCC is for adults 18 and older and isn’t meant for children. Don’t post information about your students, including names, photos, or work that identifies them. If we learn a child under 13 gave us personal information, we’ll delete it.
Security
Sign-in uses one-time email links, so there’s no password to steal. Access to private data is limited to the TCC team. No website is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee it, but we’ll tell affected members promptly if a breach exposes their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. For changes that affect how your information is used, we’ll email members before they take effect.
